Fruit for Thought
A podcast about eating fruit and talking about itApples and Oranges
I made a podcast about fruit. It started as a dare to myself. I thought it would be fun to make something that the world did not need. However, when I made the first two episodes, I found myself more and more invested in telling these stories well.
The result is an odd sensation, similar to being “punked,” but in reverse. Instead playing a joke on reality, I played “reality” on a joke. I created a whimsical, only kind of uncanny world. I want to spend more time there.
The podcast is available on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Stitcher, et. al. and at FruitforThought.net

The Fruit for Thought Reader
The fruit podcast branches outThe Reader is an extension of the Fruit for Thought performance— the more “real” these extensions are, the more meta-modern the show becomes. For instance, the Reader has its own ISSN with the U.S. Library of Congress. Formal and typographic moves are based in the same is-this-or-isn’t-this-a-joke-tension. What does typography and art direction look like if its only 80% earnest?
