Mag x3

A magazine of magnified magazines

In this magazine, magnification is an act of obliteration, obscuring clarity rather than uncovering it.

Using Adobe Bridge, a “backstage” tool for designers to view and organize files, this massive magazine is one part formal investigation and one part meta-comment on the perils of design. That is, choosing what to amplify in a narrative also means choosing what to leave out.

In Mag x 3, the content is now the “stage,” and what was the stage is now the content.

Put another way, the proscenium (or frame) becomes the star of the show.
